Instructions – How to work with our stamps

For a quality imprint, thicker leather (min 2 mm) and lighter colors are better. Before stamping, moisten it, e.g. with a spray bottle or sponge, let it dry for about 10-20 minutes and then stamp with a rubber, plastic or leather stamp. It is important to place the leather on a hard, flat surface (stone, steel). To highlight the motif, the stamp can be heated, but only the steel parts from the back, not the motif directly, otherwise it could be destroyed.

We usually make hand-stamping stamps with a metal handle (suitable motif area up to 6 cm2). We recommend stamping larger motifs in a press and we will supply a 7 mm thick plate with a relief height of 2 mm.
